Cynthia S. De Las Salas was originally born in Chicago, IL and is the proud daughter of hard working immigrants.  She moved to Clewiston, FL around the age of 10 and was a Clewiston High Alumni until April of 1990.  She obtained her undergraduate degree from Florida Gulf Coast University with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education K-6, an ESOL Endorsement K-12, and later a Reading Endorsement K-12. 

She currently holds two Master’s in Education K-12 one in Curriculum and Instruction with added courses in Educational Leadership; and the another in School Counseling. She is a published author and has completed two children’s books, A, is for Abuela, as well as its sequel “Lolita’s Christmas Angel,” both can be found through Amazon. She looks forward to publishing her third book soon in late summer of 2019.

She is the proud mother of two University of Florida students (Go Gators!) and has worked for the Hendry County School District since April 1993.  She currently holds a position at Clewiston Christian School where she assist a little over 200 student with their emotional, social, academic, and spiritual needs. Her passion is teaching and helping students achieve their fullest potential.  She believes that every child deserves the chance to lead a healthy, happy, fulfilling life.
