Leave It There

Yesterday I had company over and my Sweet Lili was hungry so I made her a little something to eat. Before I knew it she was done and washing her dirty dish. Immediately, I told her she should have "left it there." She respectfully refused and proceeded to let me know that she wasn't going to leave me with a dirty dish. At first I felt so bad but as the day progressed and we got busy I was grateful. If she hadn't washed the dish I would have had to wash it at 2 in the morning when I had finally been done with my day.

This made me think of the times in our lives when we just "leave things there," only to realize that those same things actually need "washing". Let me explain, how many times do we tell ourselves, "man, I should really do this or that" only to just leave it? Maybe it's fear, maybe doubt or maybe our own insecurities that stop us, I don't know. However, what I do know is that sometimes we can't just "leave it there".  This life requires us to take a leap of faith and just do what we were meant to do. And I know that obtaining the right amount of faith is not the easiest of task, as a matter of fact, the book of Hebrews calls it a substance or that of which a thing consists; a physical matter or material. That's pretty intense! But not impossible!! So, this week as you write your to do list. Don't procrastinate or feel bad... just do it because at the end of the day it's better than waiting & "washing that dish" at 2 in the morning! Have a great week my dears and remember "don't just leave it there!"
